Requirements
As
a member of EC465, you are first required to observe a simple ground
rule: be actively engaged in all aspects of the seminar -- the biweekly
discussion sections, the process of writing your research paper, and
the evaluation of the work of other members of the seminar. Your grade
will be composed of the following components.

Seminar
participation (25% ):
Each student is expected to have command of all assigned readings
before each class meeting and to actively participate in the
discussion section.

2.

Research
paper (50%):
In a twenty-five
page research paper, each student is expected to demonstrate
excellence in applying a specific aspect of economic theory
to an environmental problem.
|
| 3. |
Referee
report of research paper (5%)
Each student
is expected to provide honest and analytical feedback on the
rough draft of another student's research paper.
|
| 4. |
Midterm
exam: (20%)
This will
cover the core concepts that we study in the first five weeks
of the seminar.
